I expect Platinum.

To be perfectly honest, I expect platinum too. But because it is Jay Z. Not because it is any better than Kanye West's or Lupe's past albums.

^ I am a kanye and lupe fan but have to believe that jay-z is next level with this ability to make hits constantly and without writing rhymes.

..That's just as bad. I stand firm behind the belief that Jay-Z's most recent of hits are only hits because he has credibility. Think about it, if Lupe Fiasco had come out with "Death of Autotune" there wouldn't have been nearly as much hype behind it. Despite the fact that Lupe is the more talented rapper.

Making hits and being a rapper relevant to what is going on now are completely adverse.

The fact that he can make money by just speaking on a track is respectable I suppose but, writing rhymes is what hip hop is supposed to be about.

Why write them when you can spit them off the dome?, that's the only reason I give the best rapper alive award, if you want to go into his more lyrical songs then listen to his old CDs, but I have to agree Lupe is the best.....under him

We're talking bout recently, and for his new album. There's no doubt about the talent of past Jay.

As far as spitting off of the dome NOW. goes, if he still had it you'd think that his written rhymes such as "D.O.A. and Run this town" would have been memorable..Nope.
