From the heart

Four black teens in Philadelphia with nothing other than weekly tranpasses and opinions. Still, the criticism and general interpretation seem to change from day to day regardless of aforementioned teens consistency.

Whatever. We're not doing anyone some terrible injustice, and we don't claim to be changing the world or enlightening the folk beyond belief or recognition. Credences, food for thought, images, a few laughs here and there, and opinions are all that we can offer you. Whether you choose to accept or decline, you are here, as are we, daily.

To face the rain or sunshine, parade or riot, cookout or Saturday detention..We ride Septa.

City of Brotherly Love...

Yesterday, in center city near the clothespin, I walked past some lady and said "excuse me". Then, she exclaimed in response, "Shu up!".

Weird...but I love this city nonetheless.

OKAY
Now, I explain why this is the first post from me in 23 days.

The "Due for Love" BBQ/Benefit show is going to be on point! And we (Nya, Todd, Samir, Hez, Dru) have basically been seeing to it that the event will, infact, be on point. Plus I have limitted Internet access. Not even gon' hold you.
WITH THAT BEING SAID Though we live in a city of mild ignorance and seemingly no love, there is still a whole world ahead of us. Just because you don't see love right in front of your face, does not mean that there is no love out there for you (in allusion to that little story I told you in the beginning). It's the most powerful thing that we know...or know of. And it's something that we all should have for ourselves. Any one with love for themselves, has love to go around...for days! or years! (Real rap)

So spread the love. Like I said, there's people out in the world (even here in the states) that feel like there is no love out there for them....from anyone. People with broken spirits and hopelessnes in their hearts because the people around them give them no hope. No sign of love.

Let's make that change.
