From the heart

Four black teens in Philadelphia with nothing other than weekly tranpasses and opinions. Still, the criticism and general interpretation seem to change from day to day regardless of aforementioned teens consistency.

Whatever. We're not doing anyone some terrible injustice, and we don't claim to be changing the world or enlightening the folk beyond belief or recognition. Credences, food for thought, images, a few laughs here and there, and opinions are all that we can offer you. Whether you choose to accept or decline, you are here, as are we, daily.

To face the rain or sunshine, parade or riot, cookout or Saturday detention..We ride Septa.

Response to "The amazing teej"

"now i'm well aware of the fact that i haven't been on the blog circuit in God know's when, but i feel that there are some things that need to be addressed...so...here it goes....

umm....i'm all for people having their own blogs and posting on whatever they feel strongly about...however, with that being said, i do not support people who are not original in their ideas and who bite from other people. That is not luv....it's dickeating, which is not respectable.

secondly, i feel that there is a multitude of those who claim to be into streetwear and call themselves sneakerheads because they've got a couple of pairs of dunks from Urban Outfitters, one of those Lil Wayne scarves, a pair of bright-colored slim jeans, and plastic neon Wayfarers. Then, they go home and start a blog with their non-thorough crew and talk about their newly found "fashion sense" and how they're "changing the game."......there's a name for people like that......but i'll just call them posers for now.

.....i find this to be utter and blatant disrespect to the culture...and quite frankly, i'm a little disappointed : (. I'm not saying that people shouldn't get involved in that culture, but if you're gonna do it, do it right.

....i just had to get that out, cuz the reality of this situation is that only a couple people will read this which kinda sucks, hopefully they will spread the word. hahaha. "

Tyler's punctuation kills my eyes, but what he had to say was like "blaaaow, back for these puppies wit the pound boy, blaow blaow".Pretty insightful. We had a conversation pertaining to this particular "issue" last saturday, and he pretty much summed it up.Basically, posing is not a crime but it should be. When you try to be something that you're not,it becomes very very apparent. Here I will directly quote,"real recognize real". What this group of people is doing is what we'd call very unrecognizable by any standard. A few eyebrows have been raised, a couple of lips have been curled, and without a doubt, some feelings have been hurt. But at the end of the day,we ride septa. Not you.
