From the heart

Four black teens in Philadelphia with nothing other than weekly tranpasses and opinions. Still, the criticism and general interpretation seem to change from day to day regardless of aforementioned teens consistency.

Whatever. We're not doing anyone some terrible injustice, and we don't claim to be changing the world or enlightening the folk beyond belief or recognition. Asher Roth-Be by myself

My personal anthem for the moment.

When I first heard "I love college" a few months ago I wasn't particularly fond of it but downloaded the mixtape and did a post on Asher anyway. The Green house effect actually blew my mind so to speak and now we have this, the second (or third including lark on my go kart?) single from Asleep in the bread aisle. It takes a lot for me to purchase actual disc's these days since I don't have an ipod, and cannot find the cord for my stupid little phone.Still, I will take this album into serious consideration. "Be by Myself" along with "Ladida" might be the deciding factors if I can't make my way down to FYE this weekend in order to test drive the entire CD.

Please pray that I get my ipod back.

Swine Flu

I feel like people need to get educated on swine flu cause im tired of these retards thinking its from eating pork.....smh at you guys. Swine Flu originated from being around infected pigs and started in Mexico. This Flu is highly contagious and is very deadly. Acouple days ago at school some girl i know ran up to me and kissed me on the cheek and said she had the swine flu.....nice of her right. Its cool though the national society of blah blah blah says that the virus might not be as bad in America as Mexico because we have more methods of treatments. Dont be stupid people....eating pork will not get you the swine flu but it will make you suffer later in life as you die :p

Maybe I'm just not a happy kid? Maybe I like making lists? Maybe I don't have any friends willing to talk to me at the moment so I'm stuck being an unhappy kid making lists?

Every other movie will falter in comparison to The Talented Mr.Ripley. The cinematography was perfect, the storyline was haunting and tantalizing..And most importantly,it never seemed to end. .Starring Jude Law, Matt Damon, Gweneth Paltrow, and a few other people who you most likely do not know the names of.Perhaps I am a few years late on this one but the acting in this film almost makes you (made me)want to assume "Dickey Greenleaf's" identity and move to Venice. Needless to say that this will go down on my list of Favorite Movies of all time (right next to Stand by me and He got game).

Three hours might be inconvenient if you have other things to do (like swelter in the heat?) so I suggest that you set some time aside for this one.

Senioritis

Concentration is becoming hard to perceive. The birds are chirping, sun roofs are down, there's no need for heavy coats, scarves, or gloves, rita's has been availible for about a month, the Ice cream truck plays it tune up and down every block, sunglasses are officially appropriate, shorts won't make you look like you can't afford full length pants, and the wind blows all of this in through the classroom windows.

Spring is just a teaser of summer, with a little bit more wind and minus any of the freedom. And here I am (not literally, but figurativly...and indefinitely tomorrow), stuck at a desk regurgitating whatever has been fed to me from the "Promethean board". At this point I am convinced that none of it really matters, and that the "Smart board" is not as Smart as they make it seem. If the so called Promethean Board was really worth $1,795 than why waste them in classrooms where they're used as projectors and chalkboards, instead of taking them to classrooms where they will be utilized to the fullest extent?

At Eighteen and some months my attention span is that of a Kindergardner's during show and tell, and the difficulty is astounding because I am not provided with naptime, a snack, or a story. The only thing keeping me within the yellow painted concrete walls of my "Dear alma mater" is the promise of a diploma at the end of it all. With less than three months left in school, time has obviously decided to take a break and leave me to pine for the day that I inescapably graduate.

I don't want to learn anymore,I want to sleep. I don't want to talk about The Canterbury tales, I want to sit in the sun and read the backs of shirts. I don't care about textbook fee's, I want to sit in the house and plan a beach trip over the phone.

I went to the Doctor's office yesterday for a routine checkup. On paper I am perfectly fine.Nevertheless I am suffering from a severe case of Senioritis.

If you are not or have not ever been a Senior than you cannot possibly understand this sickness,at all.

Damn, why she wanna stick me for my paper

Some relationships you just don't want to let go of,because things were just so beautiful during the formation. It was all you could think about and only a few could say that they had the exact same thing.Everything was perfect until you began noticing the inconsistencies. You could no longer catch her at the same spots, or with the same people. It seemed like she just changed up overnight but you stuck through it cause you loved her.

Three years later you find out that the bitch is cheating on you. You look around and you see her everywhere, and now you're sorry that you ever wasted time trying to get to her sole.

It started at Villanova and ended at Heaven's gate.

The day of silence

I didn't participate although some people seem to think that I should have. My excuse was that I did not (and still do not) entirely understand the point of not speaking for twenty four hours. Not only can I not fathom how to not utter a single word for an entire day, but most importantly I would rather have people scream at the top of their lungs for the entire day.Why screaming instead of saying nothing in order to adress the anti-homosexual sentiment? To me screaming would express my (and possibly others) frustration towards every homophobic comment, mindset, and stereotype.Am I crazy for thinking that it might have made sense for the "silent people" to pass out pamphlets,or maybe give speeches on what it is that they are ömitting their freedom of speech for? Clearly there are enough people that think otherwise, since there were at least thirty people (attempting to be) quiet today at Central.

People are homophobic without even realizing it and the only way to fight that ignorance is with education, silencing yourself does nothing. That's how I look at it anyway.
